Horn and Violin Players Wanted by RIAS Youth Orchestra, Germany
Dear friends and colleagues,
we are looking for horn and violin players for our 2009 summer opera and concert period (in cooperation with the Jeunesses musicales Deutschland). We offer the experience of a huge scenic opera production “The Merry Wifes of Windsor” by German romantic composer Otto Nicolai, a symphonic programme with Schubert’s 9th symphony “The Great” beyond others and chamber music. Peter Kuhn will conduct; he is General Music Director in Bielefeld and very experienced in working with young musicians. We are looking forward to him conducting the RIAS Youth Orchestra for the first time this summer.
Our summer period will take place on Weikersheim Castle (home of JMD), a beautiful place in South Germany, where the opera nights as well as the concert will be presented open air to the audience.
Board and lodging is free and of course we cover all travelling costs.

First night of the opera: July 22nd
Concert: July 30th
Last Night of the opera: August 2nd
