Webinar: Online Safety and Awareness – with CyberSafeIreland
The NYCI Child Protection Programme is partnering with CyberSafeIreland to offer a live webinar for youth workers on 11 June at 2pm, to raise awareness of what children and young people are doing online, and the associated risks and safeguards.
NYCI recognises that the Covid-19 situation has changed how the youth sector engages with young people online, which introduces new learning and considerations regarding online safety. CyberSafeIreland will provide information and guidance on platforms young people are using, and discuss the inherent risks of being online, such as oversharing and privacy, cyberbullying, sexting, grooming and extortion.
The webinar will explore strategies for engaging in young people’s digital lives and empowering them to use technology in a stronger, smarter, and safer way.
The webinar will be delivered by Philip Arneill from CyberSafeIreland.
