Ulster Youth Orchestra Summer Concerts Tickets on Sale

Experience the magic of the Ulster Youth Orchestra at the Guildhall in Derry-Londonderry on Friday, 16 August 2024 and Ulster Hall in Belfast on Saturday, 17 August 2024, conducted by Jac van Steen and Assistant Conductor Tess Jackson. Ulster Youth Orchestra will perform selected movements from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra and more!

Jac van Steen was born in the Netherlands and has enjoyed a busy career conducting some of Europe’s finest orchestras. He is currently Honorary Principal Guest Conductor of the Ulster Orchestra and Guest Conductor of the Prague Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his work as a conductor, he is Professor of Conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague. Recently announced as a Classic FM ‘Rising Star, British Conductor Tess Jackson is Associate Conductor of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
