IAYO Youth Orchestra Collaboration Grant Recipients

We are delighted to announce the 2025 IAYO Youth Orchestra Collaboration Grant recipients.

Donegal Youth Orchestra will collaborate with Mayo Youth Orchestra and Coole Music Youth Orchestra. This project aims to create opportunities for the three youth orchestras to perform with and for each other. The orchestras will work collaboratively – at a one‑day event in Gort, where they will have sectionals ending with a performance; in Castlebar where they will again have sectionals ending with a performance; and over a weekend in Donegal.

The County Tipperary Ryan Youth Orchestra will hold a collaborative concert with the Carlow Youth Orchestra and the Cork ETB Youth Orchestra in the Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel, Limerick Junction, Tipperary Town in March 2025.

Fingal Youth Orchestra (FYO) will collaborate with Galway Youth Orchestra and Musica Fusion Youth Orchestra. FYO will travel to Cork to meet with the other orchestras and rehearse and perform a number of pieces of music arranged by orchestration students from MTU Cork School of Music especially for the orchestras, under the instruction of Richard Rudkins.
