IAYO Pathways to Participation Online Workshops

IAYO are holding a series of online workshops for members this November themed around ‘Pathways to Participation’.

These are networking opportunities, with member orchestras from the Midlands, Carlow, Donegal, Galway among others that will be able to share their experiences in recruiting and retaining players over the years, along with a discussion forum on the issues currently facing our members when it comes to recruiting new players and keeping them involved in youth orchestras.

Workshop Details:

  • Retention of players in youth orchestras and ensembles (Thursday, 7 November at 10am)
  • Pathways to national orchestras and ensembles (Thursday, 21 November at 10am)

There will also be a discussion session on homestays on Tuesday, 12 November at 10:00am.

Members with experience in homestays and taking orchestras on trips will be there to give tips and guidance on how they have managed these in the past.
