Apply for Galway Music Residency’s Ensemble Skills Summer Course 2023

Galway Music Residency is hosting an Ensemble Skills Summer Course from Saturday, 3 June until Monday, 5 June 2023 at the O’Donoghue Centre, University of Galway.

Aimed at young string players aged from 10–20 years, this three-day, non-residential course in Galway city is a fantastic opportunity for young musicians to deepen their chamber music and ensemble skills under the inspiring guidance of ConTempo Quartet. Young violinists, violists and cellists can apply for the intermediate course (Grade 3–5) or the advanced course (Grade 6–8+). Ensembles will be formed during the course.

The course will be directed by Sinéad Hayes and musicians will be tutored by Bogdan Sofei (violin I), Ingrid Nicola (violin II), Andreea Banciu (viola), and Adrian Mantu (cello) of the ConTempo Quartet.

Tuition is free, but an administration fee of €25 per participant will apply.

Applications are now open. Apply online here by Monday, 24 April 2023.
