Applications Open for the Camerata Ireland Academy
Central to Camerata Ireland’s ethos is its young artist development programme – the Camerata Ireland Academy – which takes place each year in August during the Clandeboye Festival, in the Clandeboye Estate, County Down. This year, the dates for the Camerata Ireland Academy are 17-22 August 2023. Up to 14 exceptional young musicians will be selected to attend, where they will work with our international guest artists in masterclasses and rehearsals, performing in the Young Musicians Showcase Gala on Tuesday, 22 August. Cost:
Full scholarships are available to attend, including tuition and full board. Accommodation is on a shared basis in Dendron Lodge, Clandeboye Estate.
Application Info:
Applications are welcome from advanced musicians aged 18-26 (28 for singers) who are from or living in Ireland or Northern Ireland. Applications are invited from the following instruments: piano, violin, viola, cello, woodwind (any instrument), brass (any instrument), voice. Please note that a maximum of 2 places will be available in each category.
Applications for the Camerata Ireland Academy 2023 must be submitted by 5pm on 31 May 2023. Please note that late applications will not be accepted.

- Completed application form (download from link below).
- A CV (max 2 pages) outlining your musical experience to date.
- 2 high quality, recent recordings. One recording should be by Bach, Handel, Hayden or Mozart. The second recording should be a stylistically contrasting piece of your own choice.
- A high quality headshot.
