Job Opportunity: UCD School of Music Associate Conductor

The UCD School of Music is seeking an Associate Conductor for the 2024–25 academic year. Open to students and non-students, this post is intended as an apprenticeship to aid in the development of an early-career conductor. The successful candidate shall assist in the regular rehearsal and performance schedule of the UCD Symphony Orchestra and UCD Philharmonic Choir, working closely with the Artistic Director of each ensemble.

They shall be mentored by the Directors on aspects of score preparation, rehearsal strategies, and conducting technique, and there will be potential opportunities to direct sectional/full rehearsals and live performances. A bursary of €3,000 is offered plus a contribution to related expenses.
