Job Opportunity: NYOI Programme Coordinator

NYOI are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Programme Coordinator to join the team, supporting the General Manager in the running of the organisation, which has been pivotal to the development of so many young people.

Conditions: The position is based in the NYOI office at Griffith College, Dublin, however there is flexibility to work remotely. Time on site during courses and events is required, including work occasionally at weekends or on public holidays. Time-off-in-lieu is provided.

Interviews will take place on the week of the 2nd of December 2024.

The Programme Coordinator will play a key role in the delivery of NYOI programmes and in running the day-to-day activities of the organisation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in music or arts administration;
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills;
  • Effective time-management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple projects;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and artistic staff, and to lead small teams;
  • Experience in the music education sector and knowledge of orchestras, as well as experience of working directly with young people in artistic activities would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

The main aspects of the role include:

  • Assisting in the coordination, management, and delivery of NYOI’s programmes, residential courses, tours and projects;
  • Supporting in the planning and delivery of auditions;
  • Conducting general administrative duties, including office management and liaising with stakeholders;
  • Liaising with NYOI members and carers to inform of NYOI activities and resources;
  • Supporting the delivery of the NYOI media strategy, including the preparation of written, visual and media content.

This role is for 2.5 days per week.

Salary: €17,000 per annum (pro rata salary €34,000).
