Job Opportunity: Musician Educators with Music Generation Dún Laoghaire Rathdown

Music Generation Dún Laoghaire Rathdown is an exciting performance music education programme in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown, providing access to a range of vocal and instrumental music opportunities for children and young people in their local area. This initiative has been made possible by the strong partnership between Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board and Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.

DDLETB, on behalf of Music Generation DLR wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified Musician Educators to deliver the following programme strands:

· Songwriting & Music Production

· Popular Music to include rock, pop, folk & Hip-Hop (vocal & instrumental)

· Classical Strings

· Traditional Irish Music

· Early years music

· Music with therapeutic outcomes

Musician Educators within these chosen areas of expertise will be expected to work in (but not limited to) the following environments:

  • Small group tuition/facilitation in vocal (including choral) or instrumental learning (including after school hubs/settings)
  • Large-group tuition/facilitation (vocal and/or instrumental) in early years, primary/secondary school and after school hub settings
  • Ensemble (instrumental/vocal), band facilitation, mentoring in any genre of music, including, where applicable, song-writing/creative composition, music technology etc.
