Job Opportunity: Conductor in Residence with Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra

Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra is currently looking for a Conductor in Residence. The Residency will focus on three pillars of engagement:

  • Conducting the orchestra for a minimum of 50% of the orchestral programme over a 1 year period (approx. 4 main stage projects).
  • Deliver outreach, inclusion and audience development initiatives that will see the Orchestra have more place in the community as well as deepen its relationships with its players and community partners.
  • Work with the CEO/Artistic Director to develop an ambitious 5 year strategic plan for the Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra as one of Ireland’s leading professional music ensembles.

This role will work alongside Cork Opera House CEO and Artistic Director Eibhlín Gleeson to support the development of the Cork Opera House Orchestra Programme.

Candidates must demonstrate a capacity to undertake the above engagements and sufficient experience to enable their delivery.
