Job Opportunities: RIAM is Hiring Heads of Faculties

The Royal Irish Academy of Music is hiring a Head of Strings and a Head of Keyboard. Faculty Heads are key in facilitating an excellent student and stakeholder experience across the RIAM’s four educational areas: Junior RIAM, Tertiary RIAM, RIAM Adult Division, and RIAM Exams.

Head of Strings:

  • 5 year fixed term contract reporting to the Director of the RIAM
  • Salary – Commencing point 1 of lecturer scale (unless otherwise agreed with applicants already placed on lecturer pay scale) which is €61,352pa/€55,329pa (new entrant rate). 
  • Holidays – annual leave of 29 days per annum
  • 35 hour net working week to comprise of roughly 12 hours teaching (during the 30 week academic year) and 23 hours administration. 
  • Closing date for applications:  4pm on Wednesday, 1 March 2023
  • First interviews to take place: towards the end of March
  • Second interviews to take place: TBC
