Charlemagne Youth Prize 2022 | Calls for Submission
Registration is now open for the European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2022.
Since 2008, the European Parliament together with the ‘Foundation of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen’ have each year been inviting young people between 16 and 30 from all EU Member States to submit projects run by and for youth showing an active participation in the development of Europe.
Projects can be submitted individually, by groups or by an organisation and must have displayed achievements in the following areas:
- Promoting cooperation and understanding both across Europe and internationally, based on democratic values (such as, for example, respect for human dignity, freedom, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights)
- Promoting a shared sense of European identity and European integration;
- Encouraging other young people in Europe to get involved in our democracy;
- Offering practical examples of Europeans living together as a community.
The projects could focus on the organisation of various youth events, such as, but not limited to, youth exchanges, simulation games, youth political festivals, exhibitions, trainings, online projects, or similar.
If you or any associated body would be interested in submitting an application, further information and the online application form is available here.
Deadline for applications is 13 February 2022.
