BTHVN 2021 | International Conference and Project Orchestra | September 2021

Registration is open for BTHVN 2021, an international conference that will take place in Dresden, Germany from 19 – 21 September, organised in cooperation with the European Orchestra Federation and the World Federation of Amateur Orchestras.

The conference is intended to be a platform for those working in the field of amateur and professional music: Professional and amateur musicians, music researchers, professionals from the educational sector and representatives of national and international umbrella organisations. The participants are invited to exchange and share their expertise in order to develop concrete visions for the future and find new fields of interaction – international networking is a key part of the conference.

There is also a performance element to the conference and participants are invited to join the BTHVN 2021 international amateur orchestra. Conducted by Markus Stenz, the orchestra will rehearse for three days in the Thüringer Landesmusikakademie Sondershausen (State Music Academy Thuringia), followed by two concerts in Dresden and Leipzip. The fees cover all bus transfers to Dresden and Leipzig and five nights in double rooms and full board.
