Tutti Cambristi Chamber Music Workshop | Florence, Italy
The Tutti Cambristi 2022 chamber music workshop – supported by ACMP – Amateur chamber Music Players – will take place on 16 and 17 July 2022 at the Scuola di Musica Bruno Bartoletti (Via Scardassieri, 47, 50019 Comune di Sesto Fiorentino – Florence).
Tytti Cambristi will give amateur musicians from all over the world the opportunity to study chamber music with qualified tutors of international renown.
The workshop is open to all amateur musicians, whether in organized groups or as individuals seeking to take part in an incomplete group (minimum formation: trio). Study days are organised in 3-hour shifts, 90 minutes with a tutor and an additional 90 minutes for independent study.
After the Saturday afternoon lessons, there will be a party in the evening in which participants will have the opportunity to meet other musicians and possibly reorganise for play-in sessions. The workshop will conclude on Sunday with a concert. All events will respect covid protocols.
Each group will work with different tutors according to their chosen pieces. Lessons will be conducted in English, with translations into Italian, French or other languages if possible.
Participation fee: €115.
The tutors come from the most important music institutions in Italy: the Teatro Alla Scala (Milan), the Scuola Civica di Musica Claudio Abbado (Milan), Conservatorio G.Verdi (Milan), Conservatorio G.Verdi (Como), Conservatorio Cesare Pollini (Padua), Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (Lugano). AIMA has chosen these tutors because they embrace Ralph Waldo Emerson’s philosophy that every artist was first an amateur. The professional musicians’ love for their work and the amateurs’ pleasure in playing is a perfect combination in these delightful workshops.
