Musical Instruments for Professional and Non-Professional Performing Groups in Northern Ireland

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is offering funding for the purchase of musical instruments for both professional and non-professional performing groups in Northern Ireland. This programme aims to enhance music-making quality in communities by supporting new instrument acquisitions. Priority is given to applications demonstrating a commitment to education, artistic development, and increased access in rural areas.

Applications must be submitted online by 12pm on Monday, 30 September 2024.

Eligible applicants include formal, not-for-profit groups such as orchestras, choirs, and community music groups, as well as schools involved in non-core curriculum music activities. Excluded are groups that received funding in the past five years and those covered by other specific schemes.
