IAYO Youth Orchestra Collaboration Grant Recipients
We are delighted to announce the recipients of the IAYO Youth Orchestra Collaboration Grant. The scheme was launched to encourage collaboration among youth orchestras in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, read more about the scheme and past recipients here.
The recipients are:
Donegal Youth Orchestra will collaborate with Coole School of Music and Mayo Youth Orchestra and will create opportunities for the three youth orchestras to perform with and for each other.
Fingal Youth Orchestra will collaborate with Musica Fusion Community Orchestra and Galway Youth Orchestra. The orchestras will meet up in Charleville, Cork to rehearse and perform a number of pieces arranged by orchestration students from MTU Cork School of Music under the instruction of Richard Rudkins.
The County Tipperary Ryan Youth Orchestra will collaborate with Carlow School of Music and Cork ETB Youth Orchestra. The County Tipperary Ryan Youth Orchestra, conducted by Director Michael John Ryan, will hold a collaborative concert with the orchestras in The Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel in Tipperary in March 2025.
