I-Portunus for Music: Opportunity to Work Abroad

Applications are open for the i-Portunus International Mobility Programme for Music which provides financial support to partially fund the cost of travel (transportation, accommodation etc.) to another (or several) Creative Europe country(ies).

One of the places seeking musicians is Grottole in Italy where they would be happy to be your host organisation for a project centered on classical music. Filippo Carretta, music teacher and the director of the Great Wind Orchestra of Grottole, is seeking composers or musicians to nominate Grottole as their town of choice for their project.

What could you do? For example, creating a composition inspired by the local context, thanks to an immersion in the Grottole community and an exchange with local musicians, playing in evocative contexts such as the Diruta Church, the Grottole Castle, or the ancient Cassarmonica.

You can get inspired and gather information on the activities carried out so far on their website www.wondergrottole.it.

Closing date for applications is Sunday, 28 February 2021.
