Bursaries Available for the NUI Certificate in Youth Arts

Bursaries are available from Cork County Council and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for the Certificate in Youth Arts Course at NUI Maynooth.

Cork County Council

Cork County Council invites applications from artists and youth workers from County Cork for bursaries to support further training in youth arts practice. These Bursaries are designed to provide financial support to artists, youth workers, volunteers or others who have been accepted on the 2008/09 Certificate in Youth Arts Course. Bursary Value: Two bursaries will be offered in 2008 each valued at a maximum of €2,500. Eligibility: Applicants must have applied to and received an offer of a place on the NUI Maynooth Certificate in youth Arts course in the 2008/09 academic year. Applicants must be either working with or intend working with a youth organisation based in County Cork. All applicants must have a proven track record either as practicing artists or in working with young people and have established contact with at least one youth arts body in County Cork prior to submitting an application. Application forms for the Certificate in Youth Arts course may be downloaded from www.youtharts.ie or contact emmet@nyci.ie. Arts Council of Northern Ireland

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is offering two bursary awards to successful applicants from Northern Ireland to the Certificate in Youth Arts course. The bursary will cover course fees and a contribution towards travel, accommodation and subsistence costs.
