Arts Council Announce Funding Opportunities for 2023
The Arts Council have announced details and dates of applications for 2023 funding opportunities. Full schedule here.
Funding announcements include the Agility Award, Music Bursary Award, Young People, Children, and Education Bursary Award, Arts Participation Bursary Award and Young Ensembles Scheme.
Application dates:
The Music Capital application deadline is 2.00pm on Tuesday, 28 February 2023.
The Young Ensembles Scheme application closing date is Thursday, 2 March 2023.
The Agility Award closing date is 5.30 pm on Thursday, 9 February 2023.
The Music Bursary Award application deadline is is 5:30pm on Thursday, 09 February 2023.
The Young People, Children, and Education Bursary Award application deadline is 7.30pm on Thursday, 9 February 2023.
The Arts Participation Bursary Award application deadline is at 5.30pm on Thursday, 09 February 2023.

Important application info:
Before you will be able to make an online application you must register with the site. For this scheme, you must be registered as an organisation or group. It may take up to five working days for your registration to be confirmed so it is very important that you register as early as possible.
Young Ensembles Scheme:
The primary purpose of the Young Ensembles Scheme is to support groups of young people between the ages of ten and twenty-four to create or critically engage with ambitious and original work together in any artform (e.g. circus, street art, spectacle, dance, digital media, film, music, theatre, literature, visual arts, architecture, or any combination of the above). Groups/ensembles must be made up of three or more members.
The Young Ensembles Scheme has two strands. The maximum award under Strand 1 is €10,000 and the maximum under Strand 2 is from €10,000 to no more than €25,000. You may only apply to one strand, and you should choose the strand that is most suitable for your ensemble and for your proposal.
Applications open Tuesday, 31 January 2023.
Application deadline is Thursday, 2 March 2023.

Agility Award:
The Agility Award aims to support individual professional freelance artists and arts workers at any stage in their careers. For this award please note the following definitions: A freelance artist: you are not employed or contracted on a full- time basis by an arts organisation funded through Arts Council programmes or through direct state subsidy or by a commercial arts entity. Please note the Arts Council will not accept applications from individuals currently in undergraduate education (including those undertaking foundation courses).
The closing date is 5.30 pm on Thursday, 9 February 2023.

Music Bursary Award:
The purpose of the award is to support professional artists at any stage of their career to develop their art practice. It provides artists with the time and resources to think, research, reflect and critically engage with their art.

Young People, Children, and Education Bursary Award:
The Young People, Children and Education Bursary Award supports the professional development of artists by enabling them to spend time developing their practice. The award is specifically focused on helping artists to improve their capacity to develop or present high-quality arts experiences with or for children and young people. It is open to individual artists and practitioners working in a creative capacity in any art form, including arts facilitators, curators or programmers.
Application deadline is 7.30pm on Thursday, 9 February 2023.
