Ensemble Skills Summer School with the Galway Music Residency & ConTempo Quartet

The Galway Music Residency and ConTempo Quartet will host an Ensemble Skills Summer School in Galway City (venue tbc) from Saturday, 4 June to Monday, 6 June 2022.

Aimed at young string players aged from 10 – 20 years, this three-day, non-residential course in Galway city is a fantastic opportunity for young musicians to deepen their chamber music and ensemble skills, under the inspiring guidance of the ConTempo Quartet.

Young violinists, violists and cellists can apply for the intermediate course (Grade 3 – 5) or the advanced course (Grade 6 – 8+). Ensembles will be formed during the course. The course will be coordinated by Sinéad Hayes and musicians will be tutored by Bogdan Sofei (violin I), Ingrid Nicola (violin II), Andreea Banciu (viola) and Adrian Mantu (cello) of the ConTempo Quartet.
