Baroque Strings with the Irish Baroque Orchestra

From Monday, 9 May the Irish Baroque Orchestra (IBO) will be running Baroque Strings Dublin on Monday nights from 6.30pm – 8pm.

This new, non-professional baroque string group is aimed at intermediate string players playing to the equivalent of Grade 6 standard or higher, aged 18 and over. With participants playing on modern instruments with baroque bows, it is envisaged that these sessions will provide a valuable insight into the style and technique of period playing.

IBO plan to start on Monday, 9 May and run for 10 weeks, finishing on 11 July. The classes will take place at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.

The cost is €15 per session (€10 for students), and by signing up you are committing to pay for all 10 sessions regardless of whether or not you are able to attend. Please note that your place will not be confirmed until payment has been received.

For those genuinely unable to pay, IBO are happy to offer a discretionary rate. Please contact Doireann on doireann@irishbaroqueorchestra.com or 083 1173095 if you would like to discuss this in confidence.

Registration for this course is now open! You can register or learn more at irishbaroqueorchestra.com/baroquestrings.
