News from St Agnes’ Community Centre for Music & the Arts
St Agnes’ Community Centre for Music & the Arts have been very busy over the last while and that is not about to change as they have some very exciting plans coming over the next few months!
On Saturday, 20 March the St Agnes’ Late Starter Orchestra will host their Spring into Music concert on Zoom under the baton of Seamus Doyle. The orchestra will perform a variety of music from composers such as Beethoven, Karl Jenkins, Borodin and Holst. You can join the audience for this concert on Zoom. Find out more at stagnesccma.ie.
St Agnes’ Community Centre for Music & the Arts also has their plans set for their annual summer course which will take place from Monday, 28 June – Friday, 2 July with Cormac Ó hAodáin, with a finale concert on Zoom on 2 July at 8pm. Secondary school students and adult players will take part including players from St Agnes’ Chamber Orchestra and St Agnes’ Community Late Starters’ Orchestra.
The repertoire will cover Handel, Mozart, and Vaughan Williams. The fee for the course is €60. Their aim is to make this the best experience possible and they will welcome guest players, subject to availability.

St Agnes’ CCMA will also be taking part in the Carnival of Youth Orchestras which will take place on Sunday, 9 May as part of the IAYO’s celebrations on 9 May 2021. You can read more about the Carnival of Youth Orchestras here.
