IAYO are delighted to have been invited to present at this years Community of Practice: Music event as part of the SPARK Youth Arts Festival.

When: Wednesday, 22 February at 11.00am-3.30pm in Dublin.

SPARK is a national event to explore, discuss and celebrate the inspiring world of youth arts practice in Ireland. Even if you’ve never considered including youth arts in your work with young people before, this is your chance to take part and spark your interest in developing creative activities with young people and embedding youth arts practice in your work! The SPARK Youth Arts Festival will close with an online youth arts showcase culminating in the launch of the Artist and Youth Work Residency Grant Scheme for 2023.

There will be a special music practice session. Details below.

Community of Practice: Music

Join us in Dublin to explore inspiring music practice with young people in youth work, youth arts and non-formal education settings!

This Community of Practice session will provide opportunities for you to hear about interesting case studies and diverse approaches to music programmes and projects, learn about recent research in the area, and network and exchange ideas with your peers.

IAYO will be sharing our experiences to date of our new Youth Participation Project. There will be ample opportunity for questions and discussions and suggestions.
