Adult Youth Orchestra is Seeking Players for Concert

Are you over 18? Did you ever play in a youth orchestra in the past? (Either local, county or national). Would you like to relive those years as an adult (without all the rules?) Following the reunion of musicians, nationally and internationally, for the massively successful Christmas in June concert in 2022, this was the general consensus! The Adult Youth Orchestra of Ireland (AYOI) has been specifically created to fill this niche.

Closing date for applications is Friday, October 14 2022 at 5pm.

We may all fit the adult criteria, but we’re all young at heart which fits the youth criteria to perfection!  If you fancy playing such great scores like Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No 2, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet or Dvořák’s New World Symphony on Sunday, July 9 2023 in the University Concert Hall at University of Limerick, then apply now.

You can apply by filling out the following form.

Players should be available from Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9 2023.

Numbers are limited for all sections but players will be selected based on the information provided. This exciting new venture is already creating sound waves throughout the orchestral community. Don’t miss out on the chance to relive those amazing years spent in your youth orchestra.
