'Powerwalk' for String Orchestra, String Quintet and Piano

‘Powerwalk’ for String Orchestra, String Quintet and Piano by Peter Michael von der Nahmer was the winner of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra’s C. Keith Birkenfeld Composition Competition in 2008 and was premiered by the Bellevue Youth Orchestra in Washington with great success.

Peter Michael von der Nahmer have studied at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Munich/Germany where he received his BA in composition He also received a certificate in Film Scoring from the UCLA and was invited to the Aspen Music Festival, Eugen O’Neill Puppetry Conference, ASCAP Film Scoring workshop and others.

Peter has received numerous awards and honors and his music has been performed in the US, Germany, England, Japan and Australia (Carisma Trio). In July 2008, he was also invited as a guest composer to the Bar Habor Music Festival where his awarded piano quartet “The Monk and the Fish” was performed.
