French Orchestra Seek Collaboration

Harmonie la Châtelleraudais amateur orchestra from the West of France are looking to collaborate with an Irish orchestra. The orchestra originated in 1883, where workers in the area of Chateauneuf met up to play music and inject some animation into their lives.

They often played in parades and official ceremonies up until 2002 when a new conductor abandoned these in favour of sitting concerts. In 2015 they are a community wind band led by the baton of Emmanuel Boulanger. They are made up of a wide range of ages and experience from various musical backgrounds, playing an extensive repertoire. You can visit their website, or if you are interested in a collaboration, contact Catherine.
