Irish Association of Youth Orchestras

We are the Cultura Animi Foundation from Poland and our primary statutory objective is to support young musicians. One of the highlights of our activities is organizing workshops with eminent professors of Polish and European conservatories. This year, for the first time, our Foundation is accomplishing International Orchestra and Chamber Music Workshops “The Music of Our Time”. The course will take place from 5th to 15th July, 2012 in Inowroclaw in Poland. This event is intended for brilliant students from Polish and foreign music conservatories and includes only splendid music of XX and XXI century. Students will be practising under the supervision of conductor Marek Moś – the best specialist in the field of contemporary and neoclassical music in Poland. He is the artistic director of the String Orchestra AUKSO, which still makes premieres of the pieces written by the most known composers in Poland. The chamber ensembles will be conducted by the leaders of the most successful Polish groups.

We would like to kindly ask for a possibility to promote our event among your members, students, partners and colleagues. It would give us a chance to start cooperation between young Polish and foreign musicians, therefore we would be very grateful to you for informing potentially interested persons about our event. We want to encourage young musicians from all over the world to participate in workshops. Meeting with musicians from abroad is the basis for establishing the international contacts. We also believe that meeting with such eminent musician as maestro Marek Moś will be magnificent experience for young musicians. The city of Inowrocław also offers a variety of activities. Our event takes place in the Spa “Solanki” – the students will have the workshop of Body awareness by the method of Feldenkrais. We are also preparing the meetings with great Polish composers – Paweł Szymański and Paweł Mykietyn, whose compositions will be also performed. During “The Music of Our Time” we will organize a few concerts with chamber and orchestral music.
