2020 Vision: Association of British Orchestras’ Annual Conference
The Association of British Orchestras (ABO) will hold their annual conference, 2020 Vision, from 29 – 31 January 2020 in Manchester, hosted by The Hallé and the BBC Philharmonic.
As Arts Council England finalises its 10 Year Strategy for 2020 – 2030, and the other nations review their cultural strategies, the 2020 Vision: ABO Conference in Manchester will be an opportunity to look ahead to what the landscape for orchestras will be in 2030.
From inclusion to social prescribing, workforce to funding, broadcasting to climate change, what does the classical music sector need to do to guarantee a sustainable and vibrant future?
Speakers include Darren Henley OBE, Chief Executive, Arts Council England; Stephen Bush, Political Editor, New Statesman; Chris Giles, Economics Editor, Financial Times; and violinist and founder of The Benedetti Foundation Nicola Benedetti CBE.
