Research for Societal Impact: A Horizon 2020 Workshop

This half-day workshop will provide Irish civil society organisations with an overview of research opportunities available to organisations under Horizon 2020’s Marie Sklodowska-Curie
If you are a voluntary organisation looking to develop research capacity, an Individual Researcher or a Principal Investigator seeking to build a European research network, there is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action for Part of the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme, the Marie Curie actions fund research projects.  At our event you’ll meet with Research Officers from various third level organisations and staff from both the Irish Universities Association and The Wheel. Through discussion and presentations, you’ll get a picture of how voluntary organisations can benefit from participating in research projects. Hear case studies and find out how the application process works.

Co-organised by The Wheel’s Access Europe project and the IUA, this event will provide information on the various research opportunities available under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions.

 

By the end of the day, workshop attendees will have:

  • Familiarised themselves with MSCA funding opportunities available
  • Increased their knowledge of the requirements of the programme and application process
  • Networked with Research Officers from some of Ireland’s leading Higher Education Institutes
  • Engaged with staff from the MSCA National Contact Point.
