Tutti Cambristi 2020 – Applications welcome for Chamber Music Workshop
This international chamber music workshop initiative of the Cambristi-Milan is launched by ACMP – Amateur Chamber Music Players.
The workshop will take place on 18 and 19 July 2020 at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Como, Italy.
It aims to offer Italian and international amateur musicians the opportunity to study and play in Italy under the guidance of renowned international professionals. The lessons will be conducted in English with translation into Italian and French, if necessary.
The teachers come from the most important Italian musical institutions: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Claudio Abbado Civic School of Music, G.Verdi Conservatory of Milan, G.Verdi Conservatory of Como, Cesare Pollini Conservatory of Padua, Conservatory of Italian Switzerland.
They choose their tutors because they love their job: “Every artist has been an amateur before,” wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson. And when you combine the professional’s consistency and purpose with the love of music and the fun that amateurs bring, you really have the perfect recipe!
The chamber music workshop is open to amateur musicians of all ages: single musicians and groups already organized (minimum 3 people). For all groups the activities are scheduled in 3-hour shifts, of which 90 minutes with a tutor and 90 minutes for independent study. Saturday after lessons there will be a party: an opportunity to meet other people and possibly play other pieces in a collective play-in. Finally, on Sunday, the workshop will end with a concert open to families and friends.
