2009 session and concert tour in Luxembourg
Since 1989, some sixty of the most talented European young wind and percussion players are selected each year to tour together in Europe performing original high level works for wind orchestra under the direction of well-known conductors and assistants. Some musicians of other European countries are also invited every year to join the Orchestra
The 15th session of the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra will take place from July 15th, to July 25th, 2009 in Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The young musicians will meet in Luxemburg for a rehearsal period and a first concert in Luxembourg and the Netherlands, under the direction of the well known Dutch conductor Jan Cober.
The next session the ?European Union Youth Wind Orchestra? will be held from 16 to 26
July 2009 in the frame of the prestigious world wind music festival in Kerkrade (WMC
Kerkrade) held every 4 years in the Netherlands
Applications for the session:
Qualified young musicians (professional or music students),
– Well qualified young musicians aged 15 to 30 years,
– living in one of the E.U. Member-States or another European country,
– playing a wind instrument, a percussion instrument or a double-bass/harp/piano,
