Camerata Ireland Academy, 15 – 20 August 2019

Camerata Ireland invites applications from outstanding young musicians to participate in the Camerata Ireland Academy at the Clandeboye Festival. The festival offers an opportunity for young musicians to work with the Artists-In-Residence as they teach, rehearse and perform in the beautiful surroundings of the Clandeboye Estate just outside Belfast.

Up to 12 applicants will be awarded scholarships to participate in the Camerata Ireland Academy.

Applications are invited from students of piano, violin, viola, cello, wind, brass, and voice.

The masterclasses are open to all musicians born on the island of Ireland or whose parents were born in Ireland. Students who do not meet these criteria but who have lived on the island of Ireland for a substantial part of their life may also apply. Applicants must have been born on or after 1st September 1993.

Closing date for applications is Friday, 21 June 2019.

Applications should include:

  • A completed Application Form;
  • A short résumé of your musical experience to date;
  • Two high quality, recent recordings, one of which should be of pre-twentieth-century repertoire. Please send audio files only. Larger files can be submitted by www.wetransfer.com.
  • A high-quality head-shot;
  • A performance biography of no more than 100 words.
