The successful tenderer will be an experienced music practitioner with the expertise and experience required to work with the Arts Council’s staff by assisting in the appraisal and assessment of funding applications and providing critical advice on artistic work.

County Carlow VEC, on behalf of Carlow Music Education Partnership, now seeks to employ a Co-ordinator to lead the development and implementation of its Go Music! strategic plan for the provision of music education for children and young people in County Carlow. The Co-ordinator Music Generation Carlow will work with Carlow Music Education Partnership, local music education providers and staff employed for programme delivery and administrative support to develop and implement the programme within the County Carlow VEC Lifelong Learning programme.

Music Generation Sligo Co-ordinator

County Sligo Vocational Education Committee invite applications for the position of Music Generation Sligo Co-ordinator. A Co-ordinator will be appointed by County Sligo VEC and will be responsible for managing an extensive music education programme on behalf of Music Education Partnerships in County Sligo.

County Sligo VEC has been selected for participation in Music Generation – Ireland’s National Music Education Programme which is funded by U2 and The Ireland Funds. Music Generation aims to help children and young people to access vocal and instrumental tuition in their local area.

Fixed Term Contract (Duration: 18 months). €40,000 – Fixed Term Salary. Appropriate music qualification essential.

Project Administrator Music Generation Louth

Co Louth VEC, on behalf of Music Generation Louth, seeks to employ a Project Administrator to assist the Coordinator with the organisation, promotion and day-to- day running of the Music Service. They are looking for someone who is passionate about music education and has first rate IT, communication and organisational skills.

Duties will include:

  • Dealing with day-to-day inquiries from the general public and assisting with enrolment of students and class scheduling.
  • Ensuring that fees are collected, lodged and accurately recorded according to procedures set by Co Louth VEC’s Finance Department.
  • Assisting with operations at each of the 5 regional music tuition centres, and deputising for the Coordinator, as required.
  • Assisting with the organisation and administration of Music Generation Louth’s in-school tuition programmes and other events.
  • Assisting with the procurement of musical instruments/equipment. Preparing agendas, writing and circulating minutes for Committee meetings.

Music Generation Louth is a new music service for the county that aims to help children and young people up to eighteen years of age access vocal and instrumental tuition in their local area. It is led by Co. Louth VEC and is part of Music Generation, the national programme for music education initiated by Music Network with seed funding from U2 and the Ireland Funds. Festival Manager wanted for The Cork International Choral Festival

The Cork International Choral Festival invites applications for the position of Festival Manager to maintain and further develop the festival and its activities.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in event management, be highly motivated, capable of working on their own initiative and have excellent administration, organisation, communication and IT skills. A background in arts management as well as marketing is highly desirable. The ability to manage finances, prepare funding applications and a flexible approach to work schedules is a pre-requisite.

This position is on a year-round, full time contract. A salary, commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position and the experience of the candidate, will apply.
